The MHA invites you to partner with us in a restaurant fundraiser to strengthen the health and welfare of our community.
We are a 501c3 non-profit organization, dedicated to providing immediate access with no barriers to mental health care in Indian River County. The MHA is the only mental health care agency in the county that operates a Walk-In Center where children and adults in crisis can go and receive an immediate assessment by a mental health professional, with or without an appointment, and regardless of ability to pay.
Why is this important?
Nearly half of all Americans will have a diagnosable mental health disorder in their lifetime.
Approximately 1 in 5 youth aged 13-18 experiences a severe mental disorder at some point during their life. For children aged 8-15, the estimate is 13%
Suicide is the 10th leading cause of death in the U.S.
Depression is the leading cause of absenteeism in the workplace.
How can you help?
Join us in hosting a Restaurant Fundraiser!
Restaurant fundraisers are when restaurants raise money for 501(c)(3) organizations such as the MHA by donating a percentage of proceeds raised from a meal back to the cause that hosted the meal. It’s a win-win scenario. Your restaurant will receive more business while friends of the MHA enjoy a delicious meal.
That’s certainly newsworthy… and we’ll be happy to share the news. We’ll list your restaurant as a community partner on our website and social media, and send a press release to local media outlets.
In return, you have the satisfaction of knowing that, with your donation, you are giving back to the community that is helping your business thrive. Let’s pick a date for dinner!
