Vero Beach, FL – The Mental Health Association in Indian River County hosted its Second Annual MHA ROCKS! Event: British Invasion. The 200+ attendees (decked out in 1960’s British themed costumes) danced the night away with live music performed by BeatleBeat, enjoyed personalized caricatures, delighted in delicious food from the buffet and hammed it up in the events’ photo booth, complete with props. This year’s MHA ROCKS! event brought in over $100,000, nearly three times the amount the MHA raised last year. Five brand new tabletop turtles were auctioned off, raising a total of $7,000, and were taken home by Scott & Christina Prouty and John & Genevieve Reitano. The MHA’s signature annual fundraiser (MHA ROCKS!) raises money to serve Indian River County residents, students and businesses and allows the community to support our mission to provide immediate access to mental healthcare, without barriers, to anyone who seeks help.
“This year’s event was an extreme success and we are already thinking about what we plan to do for our third annual MHA ROCKS! Party in 2021. We truly live in such a wonderful community where people really care about Mental Health and Breaking the Stigma associated with it,” remarked Dr. Nicholas Coppola, CEO of the MHA. “Thank you to our sponsors, donors, and community for your generous support. We could not do what we do here at the MHA without all of you.” Dr. Coppola concluded.
The MHA would like to thank its sponsors and donors for their support in helping put on this event!
