Thank You, Indian River Community Foundation
Updated: Nov 11, 2019
The Mental Health Association in Indian River County would like to thank the Indian River Community Foundation for their generous grant provided by the Community Enrichment Fund. We are so grateful for your support.
The Mental Health Association reached 970 students in Indian River middle and high schools through our School Violence & Suicide Prevention Program last year. 74% of students who participated agreed that it encouraged them to make positive choices and 68% said that the program encouraged them to think in a new way.
The Indian River Community Foundation's donation of $25,000.00 will help us meet our goal of reaching 2,337 students in 2020.
Thank you, Indian River Community Foundation, for partnering with us to make our community happier and healthier.
How YOU Can Help Us Further
Every day in the United States, 1,349 students attempt to commit suicide. We have all read about the violent attacks in our schools across our nation. No one should have to deal with the loss of a child. That's why we are working with the School District to offer our School Violence & Suicide Prevention Program. And we need your help. This grant, plus your donation will save lives.
The Indian River Community Foundation has generously offered their support so we can keep this very important program moving forward into 2020. Additionally, they have promised to grant us another $25,000 if we can match the amount.
That means the MHA needs donors, like you, to donate so we can meet this goal and reach even more youth in our community. Won’t you help us achieve this match so we can continue to keep our schools safe & help our student cope with the ever changing needs in our community?
